Renewed Image for Miss Peru 2009 Beauty Pageant

25 Mar 09 -- Corporacion Nacional de la Belleza President Rocio Roca announced that on April 4, they will elect the new Miss Peru 2009. This will be conducted in a splendid ceremony to be held at the Hacienda Villa Chorrillos. Roca promised a spectacle of glamor, lights and glitter as they have been doing in the previous pageants.
Roca also offered transparency and credibility in the election of their candidates. Rocio wants to have a well-organized event who will work hand in hand with Frieda Holler. "We want to renew the image of the pageant that we have gathered a good group of professionals to help us restore its splendor," said Roca.
22 queens from different cities will vie for the titles of the country namely, Karen Schwarz, Ingrid Vargas, Pamela Gonzales, Jessica Schialer, Silvana Vasquez, Karla Flores, Vanessa Castillo, Barbara Merino, Carolina Gamarra, the Sofia Pinho, Alexandra Hidalgo, Pamela de la Flor, Danae Panta, Mayra Chang, Kory Alegría, Lilibeth Witting , Aymi Dean, Carol Alvarado, Dessire Villar, Nancy Sandovar, Menendez and Karen Acuña Kerly.
The candidate from Apurímac, Danae Melendez went to her hometown due to personal problems and there is a possibility that she might withdraw from the pageant. She makes up the 23rd candidate, as earlier listed.
The ladies indicated that they received intensive preparation in modeling, dancing, makeup, photo shoots and social graces since February. These will be reflected on the final night of the coronation.
The Miss Earth Perú will enter in Miss Earth 2009 beauty contest.(WE)
