Fil-Canada won the Best in Evening Gown Competition

30 Apr 2009 -- Almost at the last minute, a change in the schedule was made - the Evening Gown Competition was held ahead of the Talent Competition.
The most glamorous pre-pageant segment took place on 29 April at 7pm at the dreamy Villa Blanca near Manila Cathedral in the historic and Hispanic Intramuros, Manila - "The City within a City" during the World War era .
Just in another form of war but in a lighthearted sense, the ladies tried to outclass each another in the very narrow runway with their evening gowns. (Talking about being careful not to step at the gown tail of the delegate in front of you or risk either one of you falling down! Isn't it Miss Cagayan de Oro City?)
Green Goddess, Alexandra Santos, 18, Miss Pagsanjan.As in many beauty pageants, this is one particular segment that delegates can either make or break. Evening Gown competitions drastically change the gameball. A lot of delegates which used to be at the background suddenly steals the limelight with their awesome transformations like Miss Pagsanjan. If Sandra Seifert of Negros Occidental wore a Grecian inspired gown, it was actually 18 year old Alexandra Santos of Pagsanjan who looked like a Green Goddess. The green gown has never been so elegant on her.
I am sure that the heat of the Evening Gown competition rose dramatically in vavavoom number of Municipality of San Antonio.

But the grateful winner of the competition is Tessa Kruger, Miss Fil. Canada with her intricately designed purple ensemble. Can't you notice the similarity of her aura with Ginger Conejero? I do.
Still consistent performers are the delegates of Cainta, Negros Occidental, Quezon City, and Sorsogon.
The Grand Coronation Night will be on May 10, 2009, Sunday, 7:00 pm at the Arena Entertainment and Recreational Center of the People, San Juan City. It will be televised locally in the Philippines by ABS CBN Channel 2 and abroad by The Filipino Channel.
