Miss Earth: A Hot Property

26 May 2009 -- Miss Earth is getting bigger as the days go by. New organizers are emerging in countries like Guam, Puerto Rico, Iraq, Cook Islands, Costa Rica, and Ecuador.
Miss Earth has increased its market value. National Organizers are getting bigger, more fabulous and soliciting more sponsors. Just take a look at the media mileage it gained during 2008 from this page which organizers can use to back up their sales pitch for sponsorship.
You will notice that the national organizers' websites have more sponsor icons squeezing into its tight web page real estates.
Franchises are being awarded or transferred to more capable or exclusive bodies to handle one of the most important beauty titles in the planet. It is quite understandable that Miss Earth only wants prime importance bestowed to its national queens.
Some organizers are even trying to recover or compete to gain the Miss Earth franchise. It is a little sad that Miss Ecuador Organizers, being the largest beauty pageant in the nation, want the franchise to be re-assigned to them. They want this message to reach the Miss Earth organizers.

Miss Earth franchises have changed hands in some countries when its ranking in the national selection is lowered just like in the case of Panama. The new franchisee, Bellezas Panama, now places the national queen at the top together with another prestigious beauty pageant winner.
Actually, I think national organizers can change their selection paradigm according to the quality of the delegates fitted to the respective pageants and not in terms of ranking.
It would definitely be pleasing to the Miss Earth Organizers to see crowns on its national winners. Wondered if Peru’s Miss Earth 2008 Giuliana Zevallos wearing a crown before the Miss Peru 2009 finals would count? Though Peru, this year, has one of the most impressive delegates.

As I have observed, delegates coming from exclusive Miss Earth national selections have higher chances of ending in the top slots of Miss Earth finals.
In some quarters, beauty pageants are declining its popularity. A competition of beauty should be an exciting show but if beauty is all that it can offer it will eventually lose its appeal. What more, you will even doubt the authenticity of their beauties. That is why the competition of Miss Earth where authentic beauty and relevance are tangible makes its winners so wonderful.
Now more national organizers are getting serious to add relevance to their pageant platforms and are trying their best to revive their organizations. Is this the signal of the sustainable renaissance of beauty pageants?
Pushing Miss Earth is like pushing the entire beauty pageant industry. It is correct that other beauty pageants are following the green path of Miss Earth.
The strength of Miss Earth is instrumental in the renaissance of beauty pageants. The strong drumbeat of Miss Earth echoes to other pageants uplifting the beauty pageants industry in general that is why Miss Earth is such a prestigious and hot property.(WE)
