Woman of the Earth
The Woman of the Earth (WE) started as a forum on 18 September 2008. It was initially named as Miss Earth's Goddesses of Beauty. It was meant to provide a caring arena where discussion about Miss Earth is well moderated.
The forum was developed almost overnight when John Soul heeded the request of Duane Ramos a.k.a. Eye for Beauty for a splash photo of Jessica Trisko, that year's current Miss Earth. The first photo used was taken by Andres Gonzales with hair and make up of Jessica done by Noemi Melendez of Miss Cuba Organization (MCO). Woman of the Earth has developed close relationship with MCO eversince.
The name adapted was soon found out to be similar to another Site. Immediately the search for a new name was conducted and the title of the theme of Miss Earth, "Woman of the Earth" was coined.
The beginning of WE has never been an easy one. It has faced a lot of criticisms. Instead of reacting, it used the criticisms to improve itself.
Even as a very young Site, WE was able to form a group to cover the upcoming Miss Earth 2008. The first photographer contacted who was recommended by John Soul, was Joel Almagro. Joel was contacted and he agreed saying that "if you will find my service useful." His photos then ended up as one of the best photos of Miss Earth. They have become so popular and even reached the homepage of Global Beauties.
Mamer Nilo is having close contact with Duane Ramos and he recommended Konrad Ong as one of the photographers and she said that he is familiar with Joel Almagro. Soon there is a couple of photographers with Joel becoming the Chief Photographer. Tony Santos who is also their peer photographer naturally followed making up one of the two other Official Photographers.

Duane contacted a "Mole" to ensure that there will be a coverage.
When the pageant season came, the system went well. The visitor statistics went shooting up.
One time, Duane learned the news from John Soul that Carousel under Gemina Mayo is observing the forum. Gemina said that if the forum stays moderated for another two weeks, the Site will be made as a news link for Miss Earth Site. Two weeks came and WE received a notice and saw the Site as a "Related News Forum" link at the Miss Earth Official Site. Members of the Team were elated.
Soon after, WE forum had communications with Global Beauties. In a short while, WE was surprised to become their Official Message Board.
It was reported that National Organizers are now focusing on Woman of the Earth forum during the pageant season as flood of photos and coverage of their candidates are posted fast.
The live coverage of the Coronation Night on 9th November 2008 saw one of the peaks in the visitors. It was reported that there was a simultaneous 1,000 visits at one point. Luckily, the forum's system (voy.com) did not break down.
Adriana Reveron, Miss Spain 2008, SF Miss Earth 2008 received a birthday greeting photo from Woman of the Earth.
The following day i.e., the 10th November 2008 pushed the peak further when the visitors reached more than 2,600 unique visitors in one day. At least 2 friends of WE reported that it is confirmed that the Site emerged as the top forum during the Miss Earth 2008 Pageant Season.
Woman of the Earth is a group that has its members sharing their talents and time for their passion for Miss Earth.
WE hopes to become a centre for Miss Earth fans. Its main intention is to further the prestige of Miss Earth and its causes. WE also intends to promote Miss Earth national organizers’ programs and events.
