Miss Earth Jamaica to select a rep for 2009 contest

Miss Earth Jamaica organisers recently announced that by August 28 they will reveal the result of the selection of a representative for Jamaica at the ninth staging of the Miss Earth competition which takes place in Manilia, Philippines, from October 18 to November 8.
The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme and other environmental organisations. About 90 contestants from different countries and territories are expected to compete. At the conclusion of the competition, Miss Earth 2008, Karla Henry of the Philippines, will crown her successor.
Dominique Dyer is the new Miss Earth Wales for the year 2009. She has taken part in a number of fashion shows across South Wales including swimwear and lingerie. She works as a model and has done several fashion shoots including Moda collections (Swansea) and Helen Rhiannon designs to name a few.
