She seems so down to earth, so neat and clean. I think she has a smart head on her shoulders.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES. Miss Singapore Earth 2009 Valerie Lim has arrived in the Philippines. She arrived wearing her sneakers. "I'm the only one in sneakers while they're in heels,” she exclaims. "They're all gorgeous and have huge luggage," she adds. On her arrival to the Philippines she met some of the delegates like Misses Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico. She is bunking with Miss Malaysia temporarily since they have not moved in their official residence. According to Miss Singapore "We are waiting to go to our official residence at Discovery Suites." She belongs to Group 3 with Honduras, Guam, Greece, and Thailand just to name a few. Valerie says "for once in my life, I can say I feel short among GIRLS." She stands 5 feet and eleven inches tall. "They're all so beautiful. Yes, Venezuela is stunning,” she reveals. The pageant will take place for the first time outside the island of Luzon. This year's Miss Earth international coronation night will be held on November 22, 2009 in the Island of Boracay, which was declared by the British publication TV Quick as the world's number one tropical beach and topped the 2007 Yahoo! Travel list of World’s Most Popular Beach.
