Young children spent Friday at the Joburg Zoo, learning about conserving our world. Reduce, reuse, refill, repair and recycle were the words of the day.
 
A FUN Arbor Day at Johannesburg Zoo kept children enchanted while they were educated on Friday, 4 September. Miss Earth South Africa was there, too.

BORACAY - The popular island paradise of Boracay was voted among the top ten holiday destinations in Asia in a recent Smart Travel Asia online survey.

The "Island of the Gods”, Bali, Indonesia ranked first followed by Thai island of Phuket. The South Indian idyll of Kerala in India came in third while the neon-powered city of Hong Kong is fourth.

The Miss Earth 2009 finals will held on 22 November 2009 at the Boracay Convention Center.

Boracay Convention Center is the only mountain resort in Boracay that allows visitors to enjoy the white sand and turquoise water of Puka Beach as well as the rich nature of the island and its flora and fauna.

DOT chief cites benefits of RA 9593: ME 2009 Delegates will have a Fashion Show PDF Print E-mail

Gen. Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao Del Norte (21 October) -- Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Joseph Ace H. Durano cited benefits of Republic Act 9593, otherwise known as the "National Tourism Policy Act of 2009."

During the press conference held today, Wednesday (October 21) at Cabuntog Resort here, Sec. Durano emphasized the importance of the newly-created law where he said, is "a big help in promoting the tourism industry of the country".

According to Sec. Durano, the law addresses DOT's various strategies in its campaign to make the country a genuine tourists' destination.
